This part of the blog is about how to delegate Godaddy account access to third party.
As you know, Godaddy is one of the most popular website hosting platform. I bet, you must have used it for hosting a website there, or at least you know a friend who is using Godaddy. So who gets the hands dirty in setting up the website? You yourself? Or you take help from a friend or some service provider who has also developed a website for you? If he is a third person, you need to authorize him an access to your Godaddy account, right?
So, in this blog, we will see how to delegate a Godaddy account access to third party. Follow the 5 easy steps as mentioned below to get the job done:
How to delegate Godaddy account access to third party
Step 1: Login to Godaddy
Open Godaddy website and make login.
Step 2: Go to Account Settings
In the right top corner, click the user icon and select “Account Settings”.
Step 3: Select option ‘Delegate Access”
On the Account Settings page, you will see couple of options. From that, select option “Delegate Access”.
Step 4: Select option ‘Delegate Access”
On the “Delegate Access” page, left section shows if someone has given you an access to his account. On the right hand side, you can grant access of your account to someone. Click on Grant Access” button.
Step 5: Invite someone to access your account
When you click “Grant Access” button, it would ask to enter Name and Email of the person whom you want to delegate the access. Here, the email is one used by that person to access his own Godaddy account. (Please note that the account authorization can be granted through Godaddy website account only. The person will get the access to your account only by logging into his own Godaddy account. He will see an option to access such accounts on the left hand side of the “Delegate Access” page.)
Besides that, there are two options for access level:
1. Manage Products and Purchase
2. Manage Products
Select appropriate option and click on the “Invite” button.
Voila! You are done, the person would get an email with a link to access your account.
